Political TV spots: House Majority PAC
It may not be the apex of advertising as an art form, but turning out down-and-dirty :30 second political spots taught me how to tell a story that ends with an inescapable conclusion.
The spots below are just a few examples of the more than 20 spots I wrote and produced in the 2012 political cycle.
The goal of 'Shore' is essentially to make Republican Congressman Jim Renacci look super shady/super in the pocket of the evil Washington lobbyists. It also shows voters that their Congressman is too busy tooling around town in a golf cart to create jobs in Ohio.
'Color' targets ticket-splitters by aligning Republican Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle with Romney and his Republican cronies while also disqualifying her on Social Security, Medicare and taxes. Mostly, however, this spot just pokes fun of the ridiculous turquoise moo-moo she wears while giving campaign speeches.
'Oath' defines Republican Congressman Joe Heck as extreme on women's issues while also discounting his medical background as a strength. It's also a comparative that basically says: this Republican dude hates your mom/ your sister... while this Democrat dude is endorsed by them!
